This blog is run by Walker Syachalinga who uses his connections to southern Africa to raise awareness of human rights and the rule of law in the region. Walker was Called to the Bar at Lincoln’s Inn in London after working as a legal researcher and law reports editor for a number of years. He is currently undertaking an LLM in International law at University College London.

Having grown up in Zambia and worked with an NGO in South Africa, he is aware of the challenges created by the range of laws inherited from southern Africa’s colonial past and the very present influences of poverty, globalisation, religion and traditional African customs. This blog seeks to reconcile those challenges with humans and the rule of law.
